NEWPORT HARBOR ACADEMY OF DENTISTRY
The mission of the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry is to provide for the educational enrichment and personal growth of members in an academic, professional, and social environment that will encourage and foster multidisciplinary interrelationships, thereby improving patient care and promoting excellence, ethical behavior, professionalism, and leadership in dentistry.
To Our Members: As we approach our half-century mark, I very much appreciate being able to work with so many supportive members who continue to take even more responsibility for hosting and the multitude of other critical activities that allows this unique Academy to function so predictably. Please take time to look at the Advisory Board section, and when you see these members, thank them for their generous volunteerism.
Our 49th year should be another great experience featuring clinicians who represent all specialties and facets of dental practice. In addition to the usual single-speaker presentations, this year we will have three point-and-counterpoint programs with two presenters. To those of you who continue to contribute your valuable time and resources to make the Academy what has been described frequently as a truly unparalleled continuing education organization, an enthusiastic thank-you.BIOGRAPHIC SKETCH: Carl Rieder received his dental degree from the University of Southern California in 1959 and was clinical professor of Advanced Prosthodontic Education at USC.
