MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry is to provide for the educational enrichment and personal growth of members in an academic, professional and social environment that will encourage and foster multidisciplinary interrelationships, thereby improving patient care and promoting excellence, ethical behavior, professionalism and leadership in dentistry.

In this, the 46th year of the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry, we continue our undertaking to fulfill the objectives of our recently formalized mission statement.

Recently I was asked, Why the name “Newport Harbor” instead of “Newport Beach” Academy?  In retrospect, it’s humorous that in 1963 our neonatal, provincial study group wanted to be more global (to include Costa Mesa), hence the slightly larger regional reference.  Now, 46 years later, our membership includes virtually all the western states, and our presenters are truly of international renown. 

 

On behalf of the membership, we again express our deep appreciation to those Advisory Board members who volunteer so much of their time and resources for the benefit of the Academy.
