A Ceramic Update In Esthetic Dentistry

Exciting advancements in esthetic restorative dentistry, adhesion, implantology, all-ceramic materials, and CAD/CAM technology provide the restorative dentist with an array of wonderful tools to meet the challenges of this era of dentistry. Ceramic materials have become an integral part of esthetically driven restorative procedures, ranging from conservative veneers to full-mouth rehabilitations. Crucial aspects for the successful integration of these technologies and materials are case selection, treatment planning, laboratory, and clinical handling (i.e., preparation, cementation, and resin bonding) that recognize their indications and limitations based on the current scientific evidence.

This program will provide an update on dental esthetics, ceramics, adhesion, and CAD/CAM technology and will discuss guidelines for long-term success with tooth- and implant-supported ceramic restorations.
